Unit Circle Project
Make the study of the Unit Circle meaningful with this inquiry project. Students do not just memorize the unit circle, they deduce how it is created. Students derive the points on the unit circle. Students complete a table of the relationships within a unit circle, an essential reference tool for Trigonometry or Pre-Calculus.
There are 2 complete options for this project:
- Option A for interactive notebooks.
- Option B (p. 10-12) for poster board or other presentation format.

This was a great project! It really gets students familiar with unit circle! I especially love the explanation component.
This has been the best experience I've had in teaching the Unit Circle. It's a great idea to have students first create three different unit circles based on the three different versions of the right triangles, before creating the final circle.. This really helped my Pre-Calculus students understand where the coordinates on the circle come from, and they did very well when "memorizing" the circle afterward. I edited the slides to suit my needs, which is great. Highly recommend!
