- Teacher's guide

- Editable student pages for customizing to your classroom (great for non-US colleges). Add text boxes and equations with the information you want. You can edit in PowerPoint or Google slides.

*NEW: Community College option

A great addition to your Algebra or Algebra 2 review and practice and for differentiation. Intermix with other exponential function activities for a deeper understanding.

What teachers say about this resource:

  • My students were able to use what they had applied in the classroom into a real-world activity.

  • I love, love, love this activity. It takes a couple of days to do it right, but it is a great way for students to see how much it college costs when loans are used. I use it every year.

  • I used this towards the end of the year last year with my 8th grade Algebra 1 students as a review of prior skills. Good real life applications.

  • It was a good resource for my class to apply the topic to their life outside of the classroom. Most students were shocked to learn how expensive college is and how student loans work. It was a great teaching moment.

  • I extended this activity because my students loved it so much! I teach freshman algebra 1 and they were amazed by all the information they were learning! Thanks!

Logarithm Resources Include:

- Logarithm Paper Chain Activity

- Expand and Condense Logarithmic Expressions Interactive Notebook

- Expand and Condense Logarithmic Expressions Task Card Activity
